I'm a career technologist with a user-centered approach to my work. I live in Woodinville, Washington just outside of Seattle with my beautiful wife and two boys. I'm a baseball fan, youth coach, and an avid hiker.
I have extensive experience across 23+ years of industry work including managing many development and architecture teams, running P&Ls, and starting several companies. I thoroughly enjoy building and leading high-performing teams, building lifetime relationships, and continuously learning.
Designing software architecture is truly the most enjoyable use of my technical, creative, and leadership skills. I have designed and built solutions for large and small companies and for a variety of business domains.
I gravitate towards leadership given my desire to see the outcomes from high-performing teams. I'm a natural consensus builder who communicates well across all levels of an organization and across teams.
I have spent much of my career advising clients on how to use or implement complex systems. I have a natural desire to assist others and can articulate complex topics for a broad audience. I have started two different consulting services companies as well.
I have a passion for writing code and diving into difficult problems. I regularly build prototypes and always have a project ongoing to stay continuously learning.
